Le colonel Jack O'Neill veut offrir à SG-1 une mission tranquille pour se remettre de la mort de Sha're des mains de Teal'c et des horreurs de Netu, le monde-prison de Sokar. Les négociations commerciales sur Saday semblent être la solution idéale, jusqu'à l'arrivée des pirates.
Capturés par des bandes rivales de chasseurs de trésors à la recherche du légendaire Cœur du désir, les membres de SG-1 doivent se battre pour rester en vie et se retrouver au milieu des immenses montagnes et ravins d'un monde où les pirates sont les capitaines des vaisseaux aériens et où le chemin à parcourir est très long.
Mais au-delà des dangers immédiats, chacun affronte ses propres batailles intérieures. Au lendemain de la mort de sa femme, Daniel Jackson tente de reconstruire son amitié avec Teal'c, tandis que le major Carter lutte pour accepter l'héritage des souvenirs de Jolinar...

Colonel Jack O'Neill wants a relaxing mission for SG-1 as they recover from Sha're's death at the hands of Teal'c and the horrors of Sokar's prison world of Ne'tu. The trade negotiations on Saday look like just the ticket - until the pirates show up.
Captured by rival bands of treasure hunters in search of the mythical Heart's Desire, the team must fight to stay alive and to find each other among the vast mountains and ravines of a world where pirates captain airships and down is a very long way indeed.
But SG-1 have deeper battles to fight. In the wake of his wife's death, Daniel Jackson strives to rebuild his friendship with Teal'c while Major Carter struggles to accept the legacy of Jolinar's memories...

"What happened?"
Jack squinted, blinking through watering eyes to try to see if there was any obvious damage. He couldn't see any, although the upper side of the canopy was out of view. Still, the canopy didn't seem to be deforming as he thought it would be if the lightning strike had ripped through its canvas.
"I think we just found out that we do have lightning rods!"
Carter's voice rose a notch. "Did we get hit by lightning?"
"Fix the drive!"
"I'm trying!"
Jack's numb hands were slipping on the steering column, the metal slick with ice. He spared a glance down under his feet, and then let himself slide, finding his footing on the underside of the canopy. He scrubbed snow out of his face with the back of his hand, but the icy glove wasn't much help.
Anywhere that isn't hot for our next mission, he'd said after Ne'tu. Just send us anywhere that isn't hot.
"I take it back!" he yelled, but the wind whipped the words away.
