Le Docteur Jackson se réveille sur le sol de son laboratoire au SGC, sans aucun souvenir de ce qui s'est passé ou comment il a atterri ici. Avec lui se trouve le Lieutenant Hunter de Sg-12, l'équipe qui accompagna Sg-1 sur P2K-797. Mais maintenant, ils sont ici, de retour sur Terre avec tout le personnel du SGC inconscient autour d'eux.
Que c'est-il passé? Pourquoi tout le monde est frappé d'amnésie? Et surtout pourquoi la Porte des Etoiles semble être connecté à une réalité alternative?

Doctor Daniel Jackson wakes up on the floor of his SGC lab, with no memory of what happened or how he got there. With him is Lt. John Hunter of SG-12 - the team that should have accompanied SG-1 on their mission to P2K-797. But now, here they are, back on Earth with the whole of Stargate Command incapacitated around them.
So what happened? Why can no one remember? And why is the Stargate apparently connected to an alternate reality?.

When I was first approached to write 'Gift of the Gods' I was thrilled - and also terrified! As a writer of Stargate SG-1 novels, the opportunity to pen a script was incredibly exciting. However writing for Micheal Shanks, who has played Daniel Jackson for 10 years, was quite a daunting prospect.
My biggest challenge was to find a way for Daniel to tell the story in retrospect. I wanted the script to about remembrance, so it seemed logical to use the preservation of something lost as the narrative's driving force. And what could be more dramatic to Daniel than the loss of his whole team - or more important than preserving their memory?
Writing this was a real delight. I hope you enjoyed listening.
