TORONTO – What happens at Comic-Con apparently goes online: William Shatner and Amanda Tapping (Sanctuary, Stargate SG-1) are teaming up in The Zenoids, an animated series to launch on Shatner’s social website MyOuterspace.com.
The actors met last summer at the San Diego comic book geekfest for the launch of MyOuterspace.com, with Tapping recalling that she joked at the time they should do a show together.
“Who knew it would come true?” Tapping asked after Shatner recently rang her out of the blue with a co-starring role on four webisodes to start production in late February.
The Zenoids portrays a family of space-faring Amphibinoid musicians who travel the galaxy performing their musical act, with Shatner and Tapping as a husband-and-wife team trying to keep their superstar dreams alive.
The online drama will cloud-source for story-lines by asking Shatner fans to submit scripts through an online submission process, with one winning script to be produced as an animated short webisode of The Zenoids.

TORONTO - Ce qui se passe à la Comic-Con devient apparemment Online: William Shatner et Amanda Tapping vont collaborer pour "Les Zenoïdes", une série animée que Shatner veut lancer sur son site.
Les acteurs se sont rencontré l'été dernier à la "San Diego Comic Book Geekfest" (quel nom...) à l'occasion du lancement de MyOuterspace.com, avec Tapping qui se souvient avoir à l'époque plaisanté sur le fait qu'ils devraient faire une série ensemble.
"Qui aurait su que cela se réaliserait?" demanda Amanda, lorsque récemment Shatner l'invita par surprise pour un second rôle sur 4 webisodes, dont la production devrait débuter fin février.
"Les Zénoïdes" (The Zenoïds) suit les aventures d'une famille de voyageurs intergalactiques amphiboïdes et musiciens, qui parcourent la galaxie en jouant leur musique; Shatner et Tapping joueront un team "mari-et-femme" tentant de maintenir leurs espoirs de superstars!
La série recherche des arcs scénaristiques en demandant aux fans de Shatner de soumettre des scripts, grâce à une plateforme en ligne sur son site, et le script gagnant sera produit en tant que court webisode animé des Zénoïdes!
